“As the aircraft sector continues to raise its guard, will major ship and port installations become the next target for the terrorist?”

Flexible and modular solutions to meet the requirements for ships and ports of all sizes

The Ship & Port Security Systems (SPI's) is an integrated product set designed to provide increased surveillance and security for ports, harbours, waterways, ships and oil & gas platforms. SPI's can accept inputs from a number of established surveillance systems including navigation or coastal radars and augment this with UW acoustic, remote video, UUV & ROV technology, to build a balanced intelligence management database of potential threats.

Integrated Surveillance and Detection

  • Acoustic surveillance
  • Underwater Visual surveillance
  • Surface visual surveillance
  • Thermal Imaging
  • Short Range Radar
  • Net Centric technology

The system is organic and can be expanded from a single installation to an integrated network covering a large area or platforms. The systems are customised for location and utilise COTS equipment. The complete SPI's product range is:

  • SPI's Alpha 1 - Small port & harbours
  • SPI's Alpha 2 - Large port and waterways
  • SPI's Beta 1 - Cruise ships & ferries
  • SPI's Beta 2 - Container and bulk carriers
  • SPI's Delta 1 - Oil & gas platforms

The systems are easily installed to meet most levels of threat for any size of ship installation or port facility.

Technology Insertion

Integration is crucial to the success of surveillance and security systems and the rapid insertion of technology will be the key to responding to the new Government initiatives in compliance with the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) code.
